Validation Requirements

Extended Validation SSL certificates require a full validation of the company and domain. Essentially the Certificate Authority must be able to verify the following.

• The company is registered with the relevant government authority
• The domain is registered in the name of the company
• The person applying for the certificate is a full time employee of the company
• Locate a publicly listed phone number for the company to complete a verification call
